Gear Staker tracks what you pack and what you pledge — kit inventories, loadout stakes, weight tallies, and field notes on your iPhone. This policy covers what we may access, what stays in your private gear locker, and what we never auction to outdoor retailers or equipment data brokers.

Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Gear Staker mobile app on the Apple App Store and to read-only content served from this website’s API. It is written for packers and visitors reading this page.
Information
Gear Staker does not require your legal name, email, phone, shipping address, loyalty program ID, or payment card for core inventory tools.
Item names, stake values, pack weights, and trip memos you enter remain for your in-app experience. We do not repurpose them for targeted advertising or resale.
Remote Templates
When the app loads shared copy — welcome screens, sample loadouts, or placeholder labels — it may fetch public JSON from this domain. That material is generic equipment text, not your private kit manifest.
Photos
If you attach gear photos or receipt scans, Gear Staker may request camera or photo library access only when you choose to import. Contacts, microphone, and location stay unused unless a future feature clearly needs them and this policy is updated.
Device
Standard iOS storage and networking support optional templates and updates. Diagnostics you voluntarily share with Apple follow Apple’s privacy terms.
Hosting
Infrastructure partners operate this policy page and API endpoints. They retain traffic logs needed to run servers under their own practices.
Optional analytics or support tools, if added later, will be named here with collection limited to their role.
Minors
Gear Staker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Contact App Store support if a child submitted information and we will help with removal where possible.
Retention & Security
Inventories you keep in Gear Staker remain under your control on your device. Remove items in-app or delete the application to clear local storage.
We apply reasonable safeguards to hosted assets. No service is perfectly secure — treat stake amounts like a locked gear crate, not a public wishlist.
Your Choices
Leave Gear Staker whenever you choose. Revoke photo or network access in iOS Settings for a tighter offline kit ledger where supported.
Updates
We may revise this policy as Gear Staker evolves. The date above marks substantive changes. Continued use after an update accepts the new terms where law permits.
